6/2/10 Results  Round Lake

Welcome to another year of the Wednesday night bass league.  It was a nice night and a lot of fish were caught.  Every team except one got their eight fish and the final results were really close.  The winning team of Bill and Lee caught their fish up shallow, while others had some success deeper.  Big fish of the night was caught by Charles, 16.75".

Per request, the lake will now be posted on Friday, but no pre-fishing will be allowed once the lake is posted.  If you have any pictures from the night, send them to me and I will put them up!

6/9/10 Results Pelican Lake

Another night in the books and for all but a couple of boats, not that good of a night.  It was a little windy out there and most boats went and hid from the wind.  A lot of the fish were shallow and in the reeds.  I did have fun with a 27" doggie that had 3 huge jumps.  It was fun, but in the end, it was just a dogfish.  As mentioned, I may add a couple of lakes and may take a couple off, will let you know.

6/16/10 Results  Lake Hubert

We had a beautiful evening and a couple of teams had some really good nights.  Lee & Bill had the biggest bag of the last couple of years, including the largest fish so far, a 19.5" smallie, until Paul and Barry brought in an even bigger bag, with 3/4 of their bag being smallies, and 3 18" or better.  Two other teams also filled out, and the other 4 teams had a nice night.

We also find out how Paul and Caleb have been getting their fish!

6/23/10 Results Serpent Lake

Another night in the books and another night of missing the rain.  I still don't know what it is about Serpent, but I still don't know about it.  We had three teams get their 8 fish tonight, and those teams are making for a real close race at the top of the standings.  Bill and Lee come out on top tonight, with Todd and Anna edging out Paul and Barry by a 1/4 of an inch. 

One more week in the first half of the season, then we will be off for a week before resuming.  Crooked Lake was added to the pool and Edward, with it's poor landing, was taken off.

6/30/10 Results Rabbit Lake

The last night of the first half of the season and the teams at the top are fighting it out and pulling away from the rest of the pack.  We had three teams that had good nights and the others had a nice night:)  Bill and Lee continue to lead the way with Paul and Barry right on their heals.  Todd and Anna did fall back a little, but look for them to have a strong second half.  Maybe we should have a night just for northerns!

7/14/10 Results Clearwater Lake

We had some morning thunderboomers and some afternoon storms, but the skies cleared in time for us to get out fishing.  Now, whether or not that was a good thing for some teams is yet to be determined.  It was a little lsow out there tonight with only one team getting their eight fish.  We also had three teams flying solo and a couple of teams with subs tonight, so it wasn't a full line-up.  Please keep Paul's wife in your prayers after her mishap while fishing in Canada.

7/21/10 Results Gull Lake

Thank you for your patience tonight with the other league there, but I think that everything went good, just a little tight on the parking spaces.  It was a beautiful night on the water and again the top teams did good while everyone else was just along for the ride.  Bill & Lee remain in first, but their lead is shrinking as Todd and Anna leap over Paul and Barry into second place just two points behind.  Not too many big ones tonight, but I did get a lot of small ones that didn't quite measure.

After a stormy Tuesday, the clouds cleared and we had a beautiful night on the water.  It was a good night overall, and the top three are pretty much set.  Bill & Lee added to their lead while Tood and Anna opened up the gap a little between 2nd and 3rd.  Just two more weeks left, any interest in fishing after that?

8/4/10 Results Mission Lakes

The next to last week and first place looks like it is a lock, but the rest of the standings are still up in the air.  Bill & Lee take another first on a tough night, with no teams catching a full bag.  Greg and Charles also had a good night, even though they left a nice fish for us!  Bill & Lee also had the big fish of the night with a nice 19" bass.  One more week to go in the regular season, and then, for those that are interested, we will draw for partners for as long as we have interest.

8/11/10 Results Upper South Long Lake

It was another beautiful night to end up a great season.  Thank you to all for making it an enjoyable one!  The fishing as about as hot as the weather as 5 teams caught their 8 fish.  If you looked at the standings, you will see it is different from what we figured out at the landing.  There was an adding mistake that made a big difference in the standings.  In the end, Bill & Lee took another first with Paul and Barry just an inch behind that vaulted them over Todd & Anna into second, then myself and Patch & Jim tied for third, which left Paul & Caleb by themselves for fifth. 

Just a reminder that if you are interested in continuing to fish to let me know by Monday and also if you would be a boater or non-boater.  If I don't see you again, thanks again for a great season and I am already looking forward to next year!
